Hydrogen Alpha image of the solar surface taken on the 8th August 2015…you can see so much more detail on the surface of the Sun in H-alpha. In this image you can see prominences on the limb, dark filaments on the surface and the active region around the huge sunspot AR2396. Image taken with the clubs Lunt 80mm solar telescope and a Canon 700D camera with a 2x Barlow lens attached using the monochrome setting in the camera. 25 images were stacked in Registack6 and processed in PS CS4.
