Here is my first crack at the Helix Nebula! I can see why it's a favourite for astrophotographers, it is surely the king of the visible planetary nebulas! Planetary Nebulas have nothing to do with planets, by the way. It's common usage name has been shifting recently from "Helix" and "Eye of God" to "Eye of Sauron" which I think is much more apt! This is 90 mins of data in 10 minute exposures. My guiding and collimation wasn't great so the stars are a bit blobby but I'm looking forward to doing this target again, and again, and again
