BrisScience: – presented by the University of Queensland.  The talks are held once a month on a Monday night at the Qld State Library – The Edge, at Southbank near the Art gallery and Qld museum.  Free entry, just needs people to register. There’s usually a supper provided as well which gives the general public an opportunity to speak to the presenters. Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium:   The Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium is located in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha. It features entertaining and informative programs for children and adults. Learn more about our universe as you enjoy the different Planetarium facilities available, including the Cosmic Skydome, Display Zone, Mini Theatre, Observatory, and the Galaxy Gift shop. One of the venue’s highlights is the optical star projector used to recreate a stunning realistic night sky on the 12.5 metre diameter projection dome.
